It is kind of sad. I remember when I was a kid we used to have dinners around the table a lot. Then, as we grew up (read: teenage years), the TV became more central in our dining habits. Now I hardly watch TV at all. I play video games, I watch movies with my wife, and I occasionally watch TV to see my college football team play. Other than that, it stays off most of the time. I find that my life is much better without it.

I found the results of this poll rather sad.
I never have a TV on when I'm eating.
It would detract from the conversations my family has at the dinner table.
